fewerlaws commented on The future of 5G in Ithaca

So some local ordinance requires 5G transmitters to be positioned at least 250 feet from essentially any building that might have people in it? Totally ridiculous. Please repeal that dumb law, and vote for more intelligent people to serve on the Town board. The very people here who make f…

Missing option; red wave.

We haven't needed regs like this in the past and we don't need them now. This disastrous law in its entirety will just need to be repealed later along with the 2016 regs. Prepare for even more housing shortages and higher rents thanks to this.

Well done. This is why officers need not just intelligence, but also physical strength and speed, all of which serve to prevents unnecessary deaths. There should be minimum standards for all of the above that people must meet and maintain in order to serve in law enforcement.

If the city has collected all this extra revenue from sales tax during 2021, then lower our property taxes for 2022. Never take more than the bare minimum.

You've got to be kidding right? So now we've got universal basic income (UBI) in Ithaca? Great. Just...great... I have got to get out of this crazy town. What happens a year from now when this "pilot" program ends? Spoiler alert; you will have created a bunch of Ithacans who will have res…

Solution 1: REPEAL the existing regulations.

Solution 2: Stop passing new regulations.

Solution 3: Vote out the busy body bureaucrats who don't value individual liberty, property rights, contracts, and personal responsibility. I'm talking about the bureaucrats on the Ithaca To…
