Lot 10’s open mic night is a true open mic night, in that there’s no way to know what to expect. Held on Tuesdays, it could be a slam poetry session, or a cover song, or a comedy set, or anything else. One of the most exciting aspects of the night is the process and results aren’t sure when the night begins, yet it almost always turns out entertaining.
“One of the coolest is when somebody captures the audience,” co-owner Justin McGuire said. “When you can watch a crowd of people who are talking and laughing, and all of a sudden a performer silences them and they are captivated, that’s what I like the most, whether it’s music or comedy or something else.”
