This week for public meetings, the Tompkins County Housing and Economic Development Committee will be holding a special meeting to hear two presentations. One is about the Early Intervention Homelessness Prevention Program (E. I. H. P.) and the other is an update on the New York State laws relating to housing. The county's public safety committee will discuss the ramifications from the August 6 legislature vote against having the Ithaca Police Department and the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office co-locating. The town of Enfield will be holding a public hearing on August 14 about modifying and extending the existing alternative energy facilities moratorium for commercial wind facilities. City of Ithaca Alderperson Seph Murtagh will be out of town this week, leaving Donna Fleming will be chairing the Planning and Economic Development Committee on August 14. There will be two public hearings at that meeting; one about Immaculate Conception Planned Unit Development by Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services and another for the Ithaca Wastewater Treatment Plant Disclosure Ordinance. There will be no meetings this week in the town of Newfield.
