A press release from Ithaca Police Department announced that IPD had assisted several other agencies with the apprehension of a fugitive from Georgia.
The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, IPD, New York State Police, Tompkins County Sheriff's Office and the Cayuga Heights Police Department all combined in the effort. The arrest took place Sept. 3, when authorities arrested Adrian Dove, age 48, wanted for "party to the crime of murder in which the victim was shot."
According to the press release, authorities learned Dove was a truck driver and had traveled to Syracuse. Subsequently, they determined that he had arrived in Ithaca, where he was arrested without incident. He was then arraigned in Ithaca City Court and is now awaiting extradition proceedings.
