The whole place is a dangerous unregulated firetrap and should be torn down. You know what the police investigation should reveal? The whole place is suspicious.

Instead of advocating elimination of the jungle, since Mr. Lucente and his family works in the housing field (rental of very high-priced apartments), perhaps he could lend his efforts and expertise to a community low-income housing initiative that would really help residents of the jungle, not to mention Ithaca residents in general who seek affordable housing. It might be a little hard for residents of the jungle, especially during January in Ithaca, to obtain housing if the jungle is closed down. Mr. Lucente, these people deserve the necessary mental and medical services necessary, combined with people who have the clout to do something about it, to be able to live their lives in dignity. Why not volunteer to help?
