Original Story: Ithaca Police have confirmed that an overdose call on Thanksgiving afternoon ended in one man's death. Police responded to a reported overdose at 106 North Plain Street, according to Ithaca Police Chief Dennis Nayor. When they arrived at the property, they found a 35 year old man who was "non-responsive and not breathing," according to Nayor.
Nayor said the responding officers administered NARCAN and performed CPM in an attempt to revive the victim, and additional life-saving measures were applied as the man was being transported to a hospital, but he was unable to be revived.
Nayor did not identify the victim, because he wasn't sure if his kin had been notified of the death. He added that no charges are currently being considered in connection with the incident.
