Around 1:17 p.m. on May 28, Ithaca Police Department (IPD) officers responded to a stabbing behind a business on the 200 block of Elmira Road. Once officers arrived on the scene, they located a 34-year-old female who had been stabbed in the hand and forearm. Officers observed a stab puncture wound on the female’s arm and summoned Bangs Ambulance to the scene. The victim was treated by Bangs Ambulance on the scene.
On June 6, around 10 a.m. IPD Investigators arrested Ashley Bryan in connection with the stabbing. Bryan was charged with assault in the second degree, which is a Class D felony. Bryan was later arraigned in Ithaca City Court and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to reappear in Ithaca City Court on June 19.
