The Candor Farmer’s Market is holding an informational meeting for prospective 2019 vendors on April 25th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Candor Resource Center, located at 1 Water St., Candor.

 Interested gardeners, farmers, crafters and other artisans are encouraged to attend this informal meet and greet. Applications will be available and will be accepted for review, during this event.

 2019 is the seventh season of the Candor Farmer’s Market. The season will run from Thursday, June 20 to Thursday, Sept. 26. The market will take place every Thursday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., at Candor Town Hall, located at 101 Owego Rd., Candor.

 Participation in the market is open to vendors who reside within a 30-mile radius of Candor. Occasional exceptions may be made when the vendor is offering something that is not available within the 30 mile radius. 

Selection of vendors is made at the discretion of a board-appointed committee. Not all prospective vendors will necessarily be approved.

 Once a vendor application is approved, the standard annual fee of $70 for the season, or $15/week as a guest vendor, must be paid to the business or onsite manager prior to setting up at the first market. 

 All food, plant and beverage vendors must provide copies of relevant permits for the processing and sale of these items to the market or business manager before setting up at the market. Detailed information can be obtained from the business manager for information about what permits are required.
