Producing Artistic Director M. Bevin O’Gara gave a “Whoop” and started an impromptu dance party in the Kitchen Theatre office upon hearing the news.
“The Kitchen is thrilled to receive this honor for the first time. We are grateful for our community--both audience and artists--who are excited by the work we put on stage and who value the important conversations this work sparks.” O’Gara is thrilled about the Kitchen’s 2018-19 season: “a dynamic lineup of complex characters, new ideas, and unexpected questions. A coming of age musical, to a delicate drama about suburbia, a new take on The Odd Couple, a stunning story of a young deaf man finding his place in the world, and more.
“This season is one of big questions, invigorating storytelling, and definitely not to be missed. We are so proud to be able to bring first class theatre to Ithaca. Thank you to this terrific community.”
