When it comes to looking for donated books, movies, clothes, housewares, technology, and rare collectibles of all kinds, there is no better place to look than the Finger Lakes Reuse Centers. With one location in Ithaca and another at the Triphammer Marketplace, there is a wide variety of items to look through. Diane Cohen, the executive director of the Reuse Center has found that part of what makes the center’s special are the people working in them.
“I think it’s the people who work in both of our reuse centers that make it special,” Cohen said. “I mean the stuff is out there, there's lots more coming everyday. But really, it's how the really diverse workforce works together and figures out problems. Anybody who’s been in this community for a few years has really watched us grow and just improve, year after year.”
Funds raised from the stores go to helping those struggling with poverty throughout the Finger Lakes region.
